T2 airside brings tacos, sliders, and bowls at Urban Crave
In Terminal 2’s airside concourse, Urban Crave leans into a street-food setup: tacos, sliders, rice bowls, and draft beer instead of another big burger chain. It sits in the main T2 concourse after security, so you’re fine for all T2 gates. Figure mid-range pricing ($$) with a basic taco-and-beer stop running you airport-typical high teens.
The menu centers on tacos, slider trios, and rice bowls, plus salads, fries, and a few bar snacks. Reviews call the food “fine” and “mediocre for the price,” so think upgrade over pure fast food, not destination dining. Portions get called “decent,” so a bowl usually fills you for a 3–4 hour leg. Vegetarian options are thin beyond salads and sides, so plant-based travelers may want to eat elsewhere.
There’s a full bar with draft beer and mixed drinks, and one regular notes liking the option to sit right at the counter. A tall beer at the bar plus a taco plate pushes you into the $20–$30 range with tip. If you just want a drink before a United or Delta T2 departure, the bar here is often easier than hunting for seats near the gates.
Service gets the most heat: several flyers mention slow ticket times in the evening, especially during the 5 p.m.–8 p.m. bank. Staff can be short-handed, so a sit-down order right before boarding is risky. Prices also draw complaints compared with the 3.0-ish rating, and impatient crews call it “fine, but not fast.”
Regulars slip onto a bar stool instead of waiting for a table, then go for tacos or sliders they can finish in 20 minutes. If your connection is under an hour out of T2, skip full plates and stick to something handheld plus a draft beer.
Tip: If the host stand quotes a wait, walk straight to the bar; open stools usually get you fed 10–15 minutes faster.
