Virgin Megastore

3

Gate-side timekiller for gadgets in Terminal 3

In King Khalid’s Terminal 3, Virgin Megastore leans hard into tech and entertainment for long-haul flyers. You see more headphones, power banks and gaming gear than books or clothing. It sits airside, so you’re good to browse after clearing security for international departures from T3.

Stock skews toward electronics: phone accessories, chargers that actually hit decent wattage, travel adapters, Bluetooth speakers, and a few mid-range headphones. You’ll also find console and PC gaming accessories plus controllers, which helps if a long flight exposes a broken setup in your carry-on.

Prices run higher than downtown Riyadh, as usual for airports, so think of it as a backup, not your main shopping run. Still, grabbing a 65W USB‑C charger here costs less stress than landing in Europe or Asia with a dead laptop and no adapter. Media racks are thinner: fewer physical CDs, DVDs, and books than older Virgin locations in the region.

Selection focuses on last-minute flight entertainment and small electronics rather than big-ticket items, so don’t expect full TVs or high-end audio demo rooms. Figure on 10–15 minutes to scan the whole shop, longer if you’re comparing headphones or controller brands. Staff generally speak English and Arabic and can usually point you to the right cable in under a minute.

Tip: If your layover in Terminal 3 is under 45 minutes, skip browsing and head straight to your gate; Virgin Megastore is better as a planned stop when you already have a charger or cable in mind.
