Arrivals duty free in T3 means you can shop right after immigration

Riyadh Duty Free in Terminal 3 sits in the main international arrivals cluster and stays open 24/7, so you can grab gifts the minute you clear passport control. This branch is one of the few at RUH explicitly mentioned as arrivals-side, which matters if you promised dates or chocolate to family in Riyadh and don’t want to detour into the city for them.

Pricing tracks typical Gulf duty free levels: chocolates and dates gift boxes run in the SR 30–120 range, with small electronics and headphones jumping up into the SR 150–400 band. You’ll also see the usual perfume, cosmetics and travel gadgets, but note that, in line with Saudi rules, Riyadh Duty Free does not sell alcohol here or in any other RUH terminal.

Guides call out that only Terminals 3 and 4 at King Khalid International have arrivals duty free, so if you land in T3 this is one of your key post-immigration shopping points, unlike Terminal 1 which has none. Regulars mention they often skip buying dates and sweets on their outbound leg and instead hit this shop on arrival to avoid carrying extra weight through connections.

Watch out for occasional queues when multiple widebodies arrive into T3 within 20–30 minutes, especially during late-night banks around 23:00–02:00, as baskets of dates and bulk chocolate slow people down. If you land in Terminal 3 and want gifts for hosts, walk this way before heading to taxis; it usually adds 5–10 minutes and saves a separate stop in town.
