Long-Term Parking

Open-air lot

Daily rates at Long-Term Parking usually beat the short-stay lots

King Khalid International Airport’s Long-Term Parking sits in open-air lots serving Terminals 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5, aimed at trips running several days or more. You park outside under the Riyadh sky, so this is not covered parking, but it’s typically the lowest-cost official option on airport grounds for multi-day stays.

These long-stay bays link into the main terminal road system that feeds T1–T5, so you’re a short shuttle or sidewalk walk from the check-in halls instead of dealing with off-airport buses. If you’re flying Saudia from Terminal 2 or 3, or using Terminal 5 for domestic routes, this keeps you on airport property the whole time.

Payment at Long-Term Parking generally runs on a 24-hour clock instead of hourly, which matters once you hit day 3 or 4. The lot is set up for unattended entry and exit with ticket machines and pay stations, so you can roll in at 02:00 for a 04:30 departure and still get through the barrier without waiting for staff.

Being an open-air lot in Riyadh’s heat, cars sit in full sun for much of the day, especially in afternoon hours when temps routinely push above 40°C in summer. If you’re parking for a week or more, throw a windshield sunshade in the car and avoid leaving electronics on the seats.

Practical tip: in peak Umrah, Hajj, and school holiday periods, aim to arrive at Long-Term Parking at least 30–40 minutes before you want to be at Terminal 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 check-in; that buffer covers hunting for a space and walking or shuttling to your building.
