Bus 33 to Meijersplein is the cheapest rail link from RTM

From Rotterdam The Hague Airport’s T1 exit, RET Bus 33 runs every 10–15 minutes to Meijersplein metro station, giving you a quick handoff into the RandstadRail E line toward Rotterdam Centraal or The Hague. The ride from the airport stop to Meijersplein usually clocks in at about 10 minutes, and the same bus also continues into Rotterdam CS if you stay on.

The stop for Bus 33 sits right outside the T1 arrivals hall, next to the taxi rank and other local buses, so you’re on the road within a few minutes of landing. Service normally starts around 05:30 and runs past 00:30, with slightly thinner headways on Sundays and late evening; always check the RET site or 9292 app for the exact first and last buses on your date.

Tickets run roughly €4–€6 depending on payment method and distance: tapping in with an OV-chipkaart or contactless bank card usually prices the Meijersplein hop just above €2, while a paper ticket from the driver or machine costs more. Kids under 12 often travel cheaper on RET products, and you tap in when boarding and out again when you get off at Meijersplein.

At Meijersplein station, you connect directly to Metro line E toward Rotterdam Centraal in about 13–15 minutes, or towards Den Haag Centraal in about 35 minutes. Trains run every 10 minutes in the daytime and about every 15 minutes later at night, and the same OV-chip or contactless card covers both bus and metro within the ROTTERDAM region.
