Accessible spaces sit directly by the RSW terminal walkways

At Southwest Florida International (RSW), accessible parking isn’t off in a separate lot; handicap spaces are built into both the short-term garage and the long-term surface lot, right beside the main walkways and elevator banks. The lots serve the Main terminal, so you’re always parking next to the same building you’ll fly from.

In the short-term garage, accessible spots line the rows closest to the elevator cores leading into the Main terminal. That cuts out curbside drop-off juggling and gives you a straight, covered route from your vehicle to check-in and security. If standing in heat or rain is a problem, the garage layout makes life easier.

Out in the long-term surface lot, RSW stripes handicap spaces near the primary pedestrian paths that feed toward the terminal and tram areas. You still park in the standard long-term section, just in the rows nearest the marked walkways, which trims down the distance you push a wheelchair or handle luggage.

Because the accessible stalls sit inside the regular short- and long-term lots, you pay the same posted daily rates as everyone using those facilities. Third-party guides don’t show a separate disabled-only discount or special permit pricing; it’s the standard RSW tariff applied to designated spaces.

Frequent flyers with mobility issues often say they choose the garage over long-term to keep the walk as short and flat as possible, even with the higher daily cap. If your budget allows, follow their lead and garage-park on the level nearest the terminal elevators for the easiest roll from car to check-in.
