Five-minute walk from check-in, priced for short trips
The Garage (Orange Lot) sits directly next to the Frederick Douglass Greater Rochester International Airport terminal, so you’re on the sidewalk in roughly a 5-minute walk. This is the airport’s short-stay garage option, aimed at trips of a few days where time and covered parking matter more than squeezing out the absolute lowest rate.
Daily rates run $16.00 on Levels 1 and 2, dropping to $14.00 on the roof, so you pay a small premium for parking under cover. If you land in Rochester in winter or during one of those surprise lake-effect dumps, the extra $2 a day for a lower level can feel worth it when you’re not brushing off inches of snow in work clothes.
Because the Orange Lot is right next to the terminal, there’s no shuttle schedule to think about and no extra buffer beyond the usual security time; most drivers park, walk 5 minutes, and are in the check-in line. It’s set up as a short-stay option, so once your trip creeps past several days, the daily rate starts to lose to the remote surface lots on total cost.
There’s no special “regulars hack” here; pricing is flat by level: $16.00 for covered levels, $14.00 for the roof, 24 hours a day. If you’re dropping someone for a two- or three-day trip, use this instead of circling the terminal; the walk is short enough that rolling bags are fine from any stall in the structure.
Tip: On clear-weather days, park on the roof at $14.00/day and set a photo pin by the nearest stairwell or elevator sign so the 5-minute walk back to your car after landing is brainless.
