Tech on the Go

Gate-side phone chargers and headphones when yours die mid-trip

Tech on the Go sits in the Main terminal at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, past security, so you can grab last-minute electronics without backtracking. It’s a small kiosk-style setup, but it usually covers the basics you forgot to pack or that broke in transit.

You’ll find phone chargers, USB-C and Lightning cables, power banks, earbuds, over-ear headphones, and a few travel adapters on the racks here in the Main terminal concourse. Expect airport pricing: cables often land in the $20–$30 range and power banks can hit $40+ compared with Amazon.

Hours generally track flight banks in the Main terminal, so Tech on the Go tends to open early morning and close after the last main departures. If you’re on the first wave of flights out of RNO, this is one of the few spots that’s likely open for an emergency cable run before 7 a.m.

Inventory leans toward major phone brands and generic accessories rather than niche tech gear, so don’t expect laptop components or specialty camera parts in this Main terminal shop. It’s fine for a replacement phone charger or earbuds, less useful if you’re trying to solve a more complex tech problem on a layover.

Tip: check prices on your phone while standing at the Main terminal kiosk; if the markup is painful, buy only the one item you truly need before boarding.
