The Rental Car Return Lot at Reno–Tahoe International sits just a short 4‑minute walk from the Main terminal, so timing a tight departure is pretty realistic here. This area is for rental returns only, not long‑term private parking, and you’ll follow the posted “Rental Car Return” signs as you approach the airport on National Guard Way and Terminal Way.
Every major on‑airport rental company at RNO funnels returns into this same Rental Car Return Lot, and you then walk across to the Main terminal entrance. The walk is fully on-airport, with clear wayfinding and elevators inside the terminal if you’re heading up to departures. This lot matters most if you’re cutting it close to boarding time or syncing with someone parked in Daily or Long‑Term parking at RNO’s Main terminal. There’s no public overnight parking in the Rental Car Return Lot, and unattended personal vehicles can be towed.
