Business Center

Gate-side work spot at RIC’s Terminal 1

This Business Center sits airside in Terminal 1 at Richmond International Airport, useful if you need a desk and power instead of trying to draft emails from a boarding-area seat. It’s past security, so you can stay close to your gate while you charge devices, print a document, or jump on a quick call before boarding.

You’ll find the Business Center along the main concourse in Terminal 1, a short walk from most gates since RIC is a compact single-terminal airport. Expect basic work counters, chairs, and standard power outlets rather than full-on lounge perks like free snacks or showers. Think functional office corner, not club-level space.

Hours generally track Terminal 1 traffic, opening in the early morning bank of departures and closing after the last evening flights wrap up, typically around the 9–10 p.m. window. If you’re on one of the first flights out of RIC, this is one of the few predictable places where you can set up a laptop at 5–6 a.m. without hunting for outlets.

There’s no airline affiliation and no checked-in guest list here; anyone with a same-day boarding pass and access to Terminal 1 can walk over and use the space. That makes it a decent backup if you don’t have Priority Pass or an airline lounge membership but still need somewhere a bit more structured than the gate seats.

Tip: pick up coffee or food from the main Terminal 1 food court first; the Business Center is better for working than for finding nearby snacks.
