By gate H2 in T1, this is your basic grab-and-go stop

Right next to gate H2 in Terminal T1, Newsstand is the quick last-minute stop for magazines, drinks, and small snacks before boarding. It sits airside, so you only see it after security, and it mainly serves departures that use the H-gates. Hours are simple: it opens when flights go, and it shuts once the day’s departures are done.

Selection runs to the usual airport staples: bottled water, soft drinks, a few juices, packaged chips, chocolate bars, and some gum and mints. Expect tourist-leaning items like postcards and basic souvenirs with “Rhodes” branding, plus a few paperback books and newspapers when stock comes in with the day’s deliveries at T1. Prices sit above city shops but in line with most European island airports.

There’s no seating, no hot food counter, and no coffee machine here, so plan on this as a quick top-up rather than a meal stop. If you want espresso or a proper sandwich, you’ll need to hit one of the cafés earlier in T1 before you walk all the way down toward gate H2. Card payments are accepted, but small notes and coins speed things up during tight departure banks.

Practical tip: if your flight from gate H2 boards by bus, grab water and snacks at Newsstand first; once you’re in the bus pen, you won’t see another shop before you’re on the aircraft stairs.
