Gate-side tech stop in Terminal 2
Near the middle of Terminal 2, InMotion is the airport’s dedicated electronics shop for last-minute cables and travel gadgets. It sits post-security, so you can walk over from Delta, American, and JetBlue gates in a few minutes without stressing your boarding time.
InMotion leans hard into headphones and earbuds, with major brands on the wall and frequent promo pricing on older models. Expect airport markups: basic wired earbuds can run around $20, while noise-cancelling over-ears often clear $200. Phone cases and screen protectors for current iPhone and Samsung models usually sit near the entrance.
Charging gear is the main reason to stop: lightning and USB-C cables, car chargers, and power banks all sit on one side of the store. A small 5,000 mAh power bank can land around $30–40, and multi-port wall adapters go higher. Staff generally plug your phone into a demo cable at the counter so you don’t buy the wrong connector.
You’ll also see travel extras like Bluetooth keyboards, small speakers, selfie sticks, and sometimes airline-approved Bluetooth transmitters for in-flight screens. Inventory shifts, but there’s almost always at least one under-$50 headphone option plus higher-end choices behind the counter.
Figure 5–10 minutes for a quick in-and-out stop at InMotion in Terminal 2. Screenshot your current charger type before you walk over so you can match the port quickly and get back to your gate.
