Terminal 2 caffeine fix before Delta and American flights

This Starbucks sits airside in Terminal 2, handy for Delta and American gates if you want a familiar latte before boarding. It keeps early hours in the morning, so 6:00 a.m. departures can still grab a tall Pike Place and a breakfast sandwich without hunting around the concourse.

Expect the standard Starbucks menu here: hot and iced espresso drinks, Refreshers, teas, and drip coffee, plus the usual breakfast sandwiches and pastries in the case. Prices run in line with other airport Starbucks, so plan on around $6 for a grande latte and $4–$5 for a sandwich. Mobile order timing can be hit-or-miss in airports, so budget a few extra minutes.

Lines spike around the 6:30–8:30 a.m. bank of departures from Terminal 2, especially near the security exit. If you’re in that window, plan on 10–15 minutes from jumping in line to walking away with drinks. Afternoon waits tend to be shorter, and you can usually grab a cold brew or snack in under 5–10 minutes between 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

This location focuses on grab-and-go, with limited seating nearby compared with larger food courts further down Terminal 2. It works best if you just need a grande cold brew, a bottled water, or a snack box before you head back to gate areas like C9 or C15. If you want more of a sit-down meal, you’ll be happier walking a few minutes deeper into the terminal to one of the full-service spots.

Practical tip: if you’re on a short connection of 40 minutes or less in Terminal 2, hit bathrooms and gate screens first, then swing by Starbucks only if your flight is still boarding in 20+ minutes; the line can move slower than you think when several flights out of RDU push at the same time.
