Beyu Caffè

Terminal 2 caffeine stop with local Durham roots

Beyu Caffè sits in Terminal 2 past security, near several mid-C gates, and brings a local Durham coffee name into the airport mix. You get a real espresso bar here, not just drip from a fast-food counter, and it’s one of the few spots in T2 where you can grab a proper latte before an early American or Delta departure.

Hours track with the morning rush in Terminal 2, typically opening ahead of the 6:00–7:00 a.m. bank and running through the evening departure waves. Expect standard airport pricing: figure around $4–$6 for brewed coffee and basic espresso drinks, with specialty lattes and seasonal drinks pushing closer to $7. Food skews light: think pastries, small bites, and grab-and-go items that you can carry straight to gate C9 or C15 without juggling a tray.

Coffee quality sits a notch above the generic chains elsewhere in RDU, and beans come from Beyu’s Durham operations outside the airport. If you care about espresso, this is the better bet than grabbing something from a fast-food spot near Gate C3. For a quick breakfast before a 7:30 a.m. boarding call, a pastry and cappuccino here usually move faster than ordering a full hot meal at another restaurant in Terminal 2.

Lines build before the 6:30–8:30 a.m. departures and again around the 4:00–6:00 p.m. bank when T2 fills with business traffic. With only one location in Terminal 2, you may see a 10–15 minute wait if three or four flights out of gates C8–C12 board at the same time. Staff work in standard airport rush mode, so have your order ready before you reach the register if you want to make a tight 30-minute connection.

Tip: If your gate is at the far end of Terminal 2, stop at Beyu Caffè right after security instead of gambling on shorter lines closer to C20—there isn’t another full coffee bar deeper into the concourse.
