Marrakesh Airport, Marrakech 40000, Morocco

T1’s Starbucks is one of the only global chains here

In Terminal T1 at Marrakesh Menara Airport, Starbucks is the default stop for anyone who just wants a familiar latte before boarding. It sits airside in T1, so you’re fine once you’re through security; you won’t find another big international coffee brand elsewhere in the terminal. Expect airport pricing that’s noticeably higher than what you’d pay at cafés in central Marrakech.

Menu is the usual Starbucks mix: espresso drinks, Frappuccinos, and basic pastries, with sizes and recipes matching what you’d see in Europe or North America. If you usually order a grande latte or cappuccino, you can do the same here and get roughly the same flavor and strength. Food is mostly packaged snacks and standard counter pastries, not a full meal. Figure on paying city-center café prices plus a clear airport markup.

Reviews from 2023–2024 keep calling out cost: people mention paying more here than at cafés around Jemaa el-Fnaa and Gueliz, while the coffee quality feels like any other mid-tier Starbucks. That’s the main complaint: international-chain prices, not much of a quality upgrade compared with smaller airport kiosks. If you care more about caffeine reliability than about value, it still does the job.

Service pace depends on how many flights are leaving from T1 in the next hour. In peak morning and late-evening outbound banks, you can see 10–15 people in line and a 10-minute wait for hot drinks. Staff handle orders in English, French, and usually some Spanish, which helps if you’re trying to tweak milk type or espresso shots before a long-haul connection.

Tip: if you want Starbucks but hate queueing, check your gate, then swing by here at least 30 minutes before boarding time for non-Schengen departures from T1, so a slow line doesn’t eat into your final bathroom or duty-free stop.
