Whopper in the Main Terminal
Right in PWM’s Main terminal, Burger King sits past security near the central concourse, so you can grab a burger without leaving the gate area. It’s your standard BK setup: counter service, paper menus overhead, and trays stacked by the soda fountain.
Menu is the usual national chain lineup: Whopper meals, chicken fries, original chicken sandwiches, and breakfast items like croissan’wiches served in the morning hours before roughly 10:30 a.m. Combos generally run in the $10–$15 range, which is in line with other airport fast food and cheaper than most sit-down options in the terminal.
Food comes out quickly by airport standards; during normal daytime traffic you’re often at the counter and back at your gate in under 15 minutes. In the early morning bank for 6:00–8:00 a.m. departures, expect a short line as multiple flights on American, Delta, and United all push around the same time.
Seating is shared with the general Main terminal food court area, so you’ll find tables within about a 1–2 minute walk of several gates. If the nearby seats are packed, you can carry your bagged order straight to your gate chairs; everything is wrapped to-go automatically.
Soda fountain refills are self-serve, with the usual Coke products on tap. If you’re trying to keep it lighter, the grilled chicken sandwich and garden salad typically land under 600 calories, while a full Whopper meal with fries and drink pushes closer to 1,200–1,400.
Tip: if your boarding pass shows a tight sub-30-minute boarding window at PWM, order straight to-go, skip hunting for a table in the Main terminal seating area, and eat at the gate while you watch the jet bridge door.
