Estacionamiento General PVR

Official lot

Two-minute walk across from PVR’s terminal when you just need in-and-out parking

Estacionamiento General PVR sits directly opposite the main terminal at Puerto Vallarta International Airport, about a 2-minute walk from the doors for Terminals A and B. This is the official airport lot, so prices run higher than off-airport, but you’re right by arrivals for quick pickups, drop-offs, or short errands inside the building.

The setup is classic ticket-gate parking: you take a paper ticket when you enter the lot, park, and then pay at automated machines inside the terminal before you walk back to your car. There are no pay booths at the exit gate itself, so you can’t just tap a card as you drive out; you need a validated ticket to raise the barrier.

Locals on TripAdvisor hammer one point: keep the entry ticket in your pocket or bag, not on the dashboard. If you leave it in the car, you’ll end up walking the 2 minutes back out to the lot, then 2 minutes back into the terminal again just to grab it and pay at the machines.

For a 15–20 minute pickup, some regulars call the cost a “rip-off,” but airport staff keep cars moving at the curb, so you can’t just sit and wait there. If you want to meet family in arrivals and help with bags through customs, Estacionamiento General PVR is basically your only practical option on-site.

What regulars do: they park, walk into arrivals, and then coordinate by WhatsApp once passengers clear immigration, timing their return to the car so they exit the lot soon after everyone reaches the curb. That trick trims the paid time down to roughly the minimum band on the rate chart.

Tip: when you step into the terminal, head straight to a pay machine before you walk to arrivals, so you know exactly where it is and don’t waste 5–10 extra minutes hunting for it with your bags later.
