Separate FBO facilities at PVR mean the Private FBO Lounge in Terminal B by gate F1 flies under the radar compared with the main terminal lounges.
This space at gate F1 serves general aviation and charter traffic, not the usual Terminal A commercial gates. Access sits behind FBO check-in, so you’re dealing with private-side security and staff, not the main terminal queues.
The lounge runs 24/7, which matters if your operator files a 05:30 departure or a late-night arrival into Terminal B. You’re not stuck in a dark hangar office while the crew preps the aircraft; you have an indoor space with seating and air conditioning at any hour.
Access usually comes via your operator or broker, but if you’re coming in outside a package, the posted day pass is about $100 per person. That’s per stay, not per hour, so a four-hour delay doesn’t change the math. Factor that into your charter quote if you care about the full door-to-door cost.
Because there’s almost no public reporting on this lounge, assume basics: Wi‑Fi, soft drinks, coffee, and light snacks, similar to other small FBO lounges at Mexican airports. Don’t count on hot meals or showers the way you might in a big-network terminal lounge in Terminal A or in Mexico City.
Compared with the commercial side of PVR, the key upgrade is quiet and direct apron access. At many FBOs, staff call you when the aircraft at stand F1 or nearby is ready, then escort you straight to the aircraft door with minimal waiting. That’s usually 10–15 minutes from lounge sofa to cabin seat.
If you’re paying the $100 walk-up rate, think about group math: a family of four racks up $400 quickly, which might be better spent on a nicer car transfer into town and a regular restaurant if your operator lets you stay landside longer.
Practical tip: confirm with your charter or operator in writing whether the Private FBO Lounge at Terminal B is included in your handling fees, and ask for the exact FBO name and meeting point near gate F1 so your driver drops you at the right door.
