International Terminal, inside Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine Area, next to Gate 4 on the 3rd Floor, Gimhae International Airport, Busan, South Korea

05:50 opening time says it all: this is a buffer lounge, not a destination.

The KAL Lounge sits on the 3rd floor of Gimhae’s Domestic Terminal, roughly above the gate area with departures one level below. Access is technically listed as “International, 3F near Gate 4,” which confuses people, but this space serves domestic KAL passengers once you’re airside. Think about 80 seats, a quiet corner of the terminal more than a full-service club.

Hours run 05:50–21:15 daily, so it covers the first and last Korean Air domestic waves out of PUS. Flyers on Korean Air domestic tickets and eligible SkyTeam elites typically get in; check your boarding pass before heading up the escalator near Gate 4. If you’re tight on time under 25 minutes to departure, staying at the gate downstairs is safer since there’s no direct boarding from the lounge.

Food is the main weak point here: multiple reviews say “food basically not available,” and the official listing backs that up with only complimentary snacks. Expect packaged items at best, not hot dishes, and plan to eat in the terminal or before arriving at the airport. Treat anything beyond simple crackers or biscuits as a bonus, not a meal.

Drinks track the same story: complimentary soft drinks and a very limited additional selection, with several reviewers calling it “sufficient to refresh 30–60 mins before the flight.” Don’t bank on a full bar or craft coffee setup; you’re getting basic self-serve fridges and maybe a machine coffee. If you want something better, grab it downstairs near the gates and bring water up instead.

The space itself gets nicer comments than the catering: one traveler notes the design is “very nice” even though the lounge isn’t that big. With roughly 80 seats in a compact footprint, it can feel tight on peak domestic departures, but Wi‑Fi is complimentary and generally quicker than the public terminal network. Power outlets are present, but not at every single seat, so scout early if you need to charge a laptop.

Regulars treat this as a short preflight stop, about 30–60 minutes max, mainly to sit down, hit the Wi‑Fi, and grab a soft drink before heading back down to the gate below. Watch out for crowds around mid-morning and early evening domestic banks when almost every seat can fill. Tip: if you want a guaranteed seat and power, head up around 45 minutes before your flight, plug in, then leave for boarding when the screen shows “boarding” rather than “final.”
