DFA Duty Free

Terminal B’s DFA Duty Free sits just past security

DFA Duty Free in Terminal B comes up right after you clear security for most U.S. and Canadian departures, so you basically walk through it on the way to the gates. Shelves lean heavily on rum and local spirits, with big stacks of Brugal and Barceló in 1L bottles. Expect standard duty free brands too: Johnnie Walker, Absolut, and Bacardi sit at the front, usually with combo or 2-for deals printed on shelf tags.

Cosmetics and fragrance lines run along the right side near the B4–B6 area, with the usual suspects: Dior, Lancôme, Estée Lauder, and Chanel in glass cases. Prices roughly match Caribbean duty free norms; perfume sets often land 10–20% under typical U.S. mall pricing, but not every item is cheaper than downtown Punta Cana shops. Tobacco sits in a separate section with carton limits flagged by signs in English and Spanish.

Food and gift shelves near the exit toward gates B1–B8 stock Dominican coffee, cacao, and branded airport souvenirs. You’ll see packs of Café Santo Domingo, bags of cocoa nibs, and factory-wrapped sweets aimed at carry-on transport. Many items sit near the typical USD 10–20 range, with multipacks costing a bit more but easier to share at home. There’s basic snack candy in travel sizes if you skipped the landside stores.

Plan 10–15 extra minutes if you actually want to compare prices or pick out fragrances; the layout funnels everyone through one path and it can slow down when multiple flights board at once. If you’re short on time, stay to the left, walk straight through the liquor section, and skip the central promo islands to reach the B gates faster.
