Copa Club first; this T1 Priority Pass lounge is the backup

This Priority Pass lounge sits airside in Terminal 1 at Tocumen (PTY) and mainly picks up overflow from people who can’t or don’t want to use the Copa Club. If your boarding pass says T1 and your only access is Priority Pass, this is the lounge that will scan you in without drama.

The Lounge Panama by Global Lounge Network sits in T1 after security, so you clear immigration and security once and stay in the international departures zone. Figure 5–10 minutes walking time from most T1 gates, with Copa-heavy banks around the 100–140 range still reachable without a sprint.

Food runs on the usual airport lounge pattern: basic snacks, some hot items at peak times, and self-serve drinks. Expect finger food more than meals, and prices only matter if you go outside the complimentary spread to paid items, which can hit USD 10–15 for a sandwich or similar.

Alcohol service typically follows local rules, so count on free beer, wine, and a few spirits during bar hours rather than all-day pour-your-own. If you actually care about cocktails, you’ll probably end up grabbing something in the main T1 concourse, where mixed drinks can climb past USD 12 a glass.

Seating is standard lounge armchairs with power outlets scattered rather than at every single seat. Wi‑Fi is free and usually quicker than the public PTY network, handy if you’re trying to pull down a few hundred megabytes of Netflix or work files before a 6‑hour hop.

Showers may be available but are not the strong reason to visit here; most reports treat this place as a seat-and-snack stop before flights leaving from Terminal 1. If you have a morning departure before 09:00, expect it to feel busy but still more relaxed than T1’s gate areas.

No strong “regulars do this” pattern shows up in trip reports, which fits the role: this is the lounge for Priority Pass holders who just want Wi‑Fi, air‑conditioning, and a chair before boarding out of PTY T1.

Tip: If you also hold access to Copa Club in T1, walk there first; save The Lounge Panama by Global Lounge Network for times when Copa is full, closed, or your Priority Pass guest policy works out better here.
