Starbucks

★ 4

PSP’s local coffee kiosks often close early, so Starbucks bails you out.

This Main Terminal Starbucks sits past security, near the central concessions area by gates 12–14, and keeps more predictable hours than many of the seasonal stands that shut when it gets too hot or slow. If you roll through Palm Springs on an early 6:00 a.m. departure or a late 9:00 p.m. arrival, this is usually the only consistent place for a latte, drip coffee, or quick breakfast sandwich.

Menu is standard corporate Starbucks: tall brewed coffee, cold brew, Refreshers, and the usual lineup of espresso drinks along with breakfast sandwiches and protein boxes. Prices run a bit higher than off-airport stores, with a grande latte landing around $6–7 after tax and sandwiches pushing the $6–8 range. Nothing local or PSP‑specific here, but you get predictable quality and the same drinks you’d order at home.

Lines spike before the morning bank of departures around 5:30–7:30 a.m. and again before the midday wave around 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. With one main queue feeding a small counter, you can be 10–15 minutes in line for a simple brewed coffee. If you care more about speed than customization, stick to drip or cold brew; drinks with extra shots, alternative milks, and custom syrups slow things down noticeably.

Seating is limited to a handful of tables just off the concourse, shared with nearby food outlets, so plan to carry your drink the 2–3 minute walk back to gates 4–11 or the short 1–2 minute walk to gates 12–20. Wi‑Fi from the terminal reaches this area reliably, which helps if you’re trying to squeeze in email before a 45‑minute turn.

Practical tip: if your flight leaves before 7:00 a.m. or after 8:00 p.m., assume the smaller PSP coffee stands may be dark and budget an extra 10 minutes to hit this Starbucks instead.
