Indoor–outdoor terminal bar feel, right in PSP’s Main concourse

PSP Tavern sits in the Main terminal’s post-security area and feels more like an airport patio bar than a grab-and-go stand. You’re still indoors, but the open-air terminal design and views give it that Palm Springs poolside energy while you wait for boarding calls on Allegiant, Alaska, or American. Rating sits around 8/10 from frequent flyers, which is high for an airport spot that’s basically in the middle of the concourse traffic.

Hours track flight banks: early opening around the morning departures push, then running into the last Main terminal departures in the evening, typically past 8:00 pm in peak season. It’s a full bar setup, so you can get a cold beer, a basic cocktail, and standard bar bites before a 7:00 am or 6:30 pm flight. Prices land in typical airport territory: think roughly $9–$12 for drafts and $14–$18 for cocktails, more for premium pours.

Food leans bar-style: burgers, sandwiches, and shareables that can land on your table fast enough for a 45-minute sit. Expect something like a burger in the mid-teens, plus add-ons, and appetizers in the $10–$15 range. This is more about having a real seat and fork than chasing a destination meal; compared to grabbing a pre-made sandwich at one of the smaller kiosks, it feels like an actual stop in your trip, not just a transaction.

PSP Tavern works best if your gate is in the central Main concourse, since you can keep an eye on boarding zones while finishing a drink. The bar layout makes solo dining easy, so no awkward two-top if you’re flying alone. Seating tends to turn over with each bank of departures every 60–90 minutes, so even on busy weekends you usually find a perch between the 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm rush.

Tip: build in at least 45 minutes here: 10 minutes to get seated, 20–25 minutes to eat and drink, and a 10-minute buffer to walk to any Main gate without clock-watching.
