Showers and quiet seating in T1 before Schengen departure

This Mastercard Lounge sits in Terminal 1 after passport control on level 2, covering both Schengen and non-Schengen departures from PRG between 05:30 and 23:30. Look for the lounge signage upstairs; reviews place it opposite the Menzies-operated space in this part of the terminal.

Access runs through Priority Pass and airline contracts, and many British Airways and other oneworld passengers treat it as their default option when leaving Prague. Walk in expecting a third‑party lounge: several FlyerTalk regulars call it “fairly modern” and “one of the better” contract options in the airport, but also “not the best lounge in the world.”

Layout is open-plan with several seating zones, including armchairs along windows overlooking the apron and more traditional rows of chairs around low tables. A separate work zone holds desktop computers and at least one printer, which is handy if you need hard copies of boarding passes or hotel confirmations before a late departure from Terminal 1.

Food and drink sit in one central self-service line, described in one video as an “extensive food and drink zone.” Expect typical contract-lounge fare: cold snacks, some hot items at busy times, soft drinks, beer, wine, and basic spirits. Don’t plan a full restaurant-style meal here; treat it as a solid top‑up before a short-haul flight from PRG T1.

Showers sit inside the lounge within the WC area, and at least one review calls both toilets and showers clean. If you want a rinse before an overnight flight, ask staff at reception about shower availability as soon as you arrive, then grab a drink or snack while they turn the room over.

There is also a small children’s corner, as mentioned in a YouTube tour, plus enough mixed seating that families can park near that zone while solo travelers plug in laptops closer to the work area. Power outlets are not at every seat, so walk a quick loop before you settle in with your charger.

Watch out for capacity controls during peak seasons: reports mention staff temporarily turning away Priority Pass and pay-in guests when the lounge is full. There has also been at least one period of refurbishment with a temporary lounge called “The Lounge” used as a backup nearby, so always check current status in your app on the day.

Practical tip: if lounge access matters to you on a T1 departure, arrive at the airport 20–30 minutes earlier than usual so you clear passport control and reach the lounge before the evening banks that trigger those capacity restrictions.
