Terminal 1’s Açai Concept is the quick sugar hit between flights
Açai Concept sits airside in Terminal 1, handy if your Gol or LATAM flight leaves from the domestic gates. It’s a small kiosk-style spot focused on açai bowls and cups, so think snack stop, not full meal. Expect to be in and out in under 10 minutes, even with a short line.
The core order is a 300–500 ml açai cup, priced in the mid-range for POA airport kiosks. You pick toppings like banana, granola, powdered milk, or condensed milk, common Brazilian add-ons you’ll see prepped in metal bins behind the counter. Portions run generous for a layover snack, lighter if you skip the heavy toppings.
Most locations in this franchise pour the açai slightly on the sweet side, similar to what you’d pay for in Porto Alegre shopping malls. You can usually choose from at least three sizes plus extras like peanut candy or whey protein, each add-on bumping the price by a few reais. If you’re boarding a late-night flight from Terminal 1, this is one of the few options that still serves something cold and fruity.
There’s no real seating attached to the stand, just a couple of nearby chairs shared with other outlets in the same Terminal 1 concourse. Plan to carry your cup back to the gate and use the armrest as a table. Staff can usually turn around two or three orders at a time, so even a six-person queue moves fast compared with the hot-food counters down the hall.
Tip: order a medium (around 300 ml) if your flight is under two hours; the largest size melts before boarding and turns into açai soup by the time row 25 is called.
