Two-minute walk from Terminal 1, fully covered, airport-official
Estacionamento Premium sits right next to Terminal 1 at Porto Alegre-Salgado Filho (POA), about a 2-minute walk from the check-in area. It’s an on-airport, fully covered car park, so you park once and roll your bag straight to departures without waiting on a shuttle or crossing long outdoor lots.
This is airport-operated parking, priced at the top end of POA options and usually grouped with the other on-site covered areas as the “most expensive” choice. It’s aimed at short stays rather than long-term parking, so daily rates make more sense for 1–3 day business trips than for leaving your car for a full week. If you’re claiming parking on an expense report, this is the lot that aligns with that trade-off: closer, covered, and official.
Estacionamento Premium is post-access road but pre-security, directly in front of Terminal 1, so you keep control of your timing right up to the check-in counters. Because the walk is roughly 2 minutes, you can cut your arrival buffer a bit tighter than if you parked in an uncovered or off-site lot that needs a van ride. In bad weather, the covered setup and short distance matter more than the extra reais on the ticket.
There aren’t many tricks here—no shuttle schedules, no hunting down a remote entrance—just drive into the airport complex for Terminal 1 and follow the signs for the premium/covered parking. If you’re price-sensitive, compare the rate board at the entrance against the standard on-site lots before pulling a ticket.
Practical tip: For flights out of Terminal 2, factor in the transfer between T1 and T2 before cutting your arrival time; the 2-minute walk from Estacionamento Premium only gets you to Terminal 1.
