Domestic departures at POA use the same Ambaar Club space

At Porto Alegre (POA), Diners Club access for the “Ambaar Club Diners Lounge” just sends you into the regular Ambaar Club in Terminal 1’s domestic departures area. There’s no second lounge door or separate room; it’s one shared space past security for all eligible cards and airlines.

The lounge sits airside in Terminal 1, after security for domestic flights, a short walk from most gates used by Azul, Gol, and LATAM. Signage usually just says Ambaar Club, so Diners Club cardholders should head straight there and present the card at reception instead of hunting for a different Diners-branded entrance.

Opening hours track domestic banks of departures, typically starting early morning for 06:00–07:00 flights and running into the late evening. If you’re on one of the last São Paulo or Rio shuttles around 22:00, expect the staff to start tidying well before the final boarding calls, so grab food and drinks earlier in your stay.

Food is standard Brazilian lounge fare: light snacks, sandwiches, and a small buffet that comes and goes with the time of day, plus coffee machines and soft drinks at no extra charge. Alcohol, where available, usually means basic beer and wine rather than full cocktails, so don’t plan a bar session here; think quick bite and espresso before a 90‑minute hop instead.

Diners Club holders generally enter on a complimentary basis, while walk‑up access at Ambaar locations in Brazil often prices around BRL 150–200 per person, depending on the airport and any airline deals. If a companion doesn’t have Diners, ask at the desk about add‑on rates before you sit down, as charges are per visit, not per day.

The POA Ambaar space trends compact, so during evening bank times around 18:00–20:00 it can feel busier than the public seating at nearby gates. Power outlets cluster along walls and near a few work tables; if you see a two‑seat spot with an outlet, grab it before you head to the buffet or restroom.

Practical tip: check Terminal 1 security wait times and aim to be through at least 60 minutes before departure; once airside, walk straight to the Ambaar Club sign, flash your Diners Club card, and skip searching for a separate “Diners Lounge” that doesn’t exist.
