Runway views and real drinks at the only full bar airside
Past security in the Main terminal at PNS, Beach House is the airport’s sit-down bar and grill, open daily from 5:00AM until the last departure, even when flights run late. It’s run by OHM as a simplified “Pensacola Beach House” concept, with a shorter airport menu and a full bar that’s rare for a small regional field like this.
Menus lean casual: fish tacos are the signature, with burgers and basic sandwiches in the same $$ range you’d see at a mid-tier chain. Draft beer gets decent marks from regulars, while cocktails are standard airport pours rather than craft experiments. Portions run medium; this is a solid pre-flight meal, not a layover feast.
The bar sits just past the Main terminal gates, and you can usually grab a runway-facing stool to watch the single-runway traffic roll by. Frequent PNS flyers mention heading straight here when delays hit, since Beach House and the nearby newsstands are required to stay open until the last scheduled flight pushes back.
Service is hit-or-miss: during the evening bank, one bartender can be working the entire bar, so a mixed drink might take 10–15 minutes. Reviews also call out a limited menu compared with the landside restaurant, so don’t expect a long seafood list beyond things like fish tacos and maybe one grilled fish plate.
Watch out for nights when the final departure leaves ahead of schedule; some travelers report the bar closing as soon as that last flight is gone, even if clocks say it’s still early. If you land hungry after 8:00PM, check the departures board and head over before that last gate clears.
Tip: On a delay, grab a window stool first, then order; power outlets along the bar fill up fast once two or three flights slip past their original times.
