Santo Cristo

Ensaïmada to-go before T departures

Right in Terminal T’s departures area, Santo Cristo is the airport branch of a century‑old Palma bakery that locals use for ensaïmades. If you forgot to buy pastries in town, this is your last realistic shot landside before boarding. Expect classic sugar‑topped ensaïmada, chocolate‑filled versions, and a few savory options in the same counter, all boxed for hand luggage.

Santo Cristo sits airside after security in T, near the main shopping stretch, so you don’t need to backtrack once you clear the lanes. Coffee runs around €2–€3, and individual pastries typically sit in the €2–€4 range, cheaper than many sit‑down cafés in the terminal. It works for a quick espresso and a sweet while you watch the departure boards.

The focus here is Mallorcan baking, not full meals, so think pastries, small sandwiches, and bottled drinks rather than hot plates. If you want a taste of the local specialty, go straight for a classic ensaïmada or an apricot one; they travel well in a cardboard box for flights of 2–3 hours. Pre‑packed boxes stamped with the Santo Cristo branding make it easy to bring something recognizable home.

Service usually moves fast since most orders are takeaway, but around early‑morning bank of flights (06:00–08:30), lines can form as people grab coffee and pastry before boarding. If your gate is at the far end of T, give yourself at least 10 extra minutes to buy, box, and walk. Handy detail: ask them to tape the pastry box; it survives overhead bins much better that way.
