Ibérico ham to-go after security in T
In Palma de Mallorca’s Terminal T, La Bellota gives you a last shot at proper Spanish ibérico products without leaving the airport. It sits airside after security, so you can pick up vacuum-packed ham and sausages even on a tight departure. Expect pricing in the tourist range rather than city-deli cheap, but still fair for genuine ibérico at an airport shop.
La Bellota focuses on Spanish ham, cured meats, and a smaller mix of regional cheeses and tinned goods, all labeled with origin and curing type. You’ll see jamón ibérico in different grades, usually priced by weight, with pre-sliced packs around the €12–€30 range depending on quality. Many items come in travel-safe packaging, which matters if you still have another Schengen leg and a connection on the same day.
This is a retail counter rather than a bar, so don’t expect a plate with bread and a drink; you buy to carry onto your flight or home. Staff usually speak Spanish and basic English, enough to explain the difference between ibérico de cebo and bellota. Figure 5–10 minutes to look around and pay, longer if you’re choosing gift boxes and multiple packs.
La Bellota generally opens with the morning departures and runs through the main afternoon bank; aim to visit before late-evening flights, as hours often track the busier schedule. Practical tip: if you want ham as a gift, choose the clearly vacuum-sealed, boxed packs with printed expiry dates so they survive a multi-day trip or layover without drama.
