Palma de Mallorca Airport, Terminal 4, Floor 4, landside before security, Palma de Mallorca, Spain

Five minutes from PMI security, Sala VIP Valldemossa sits just inside Terminal T’s main boarding area, but space runs tight fast.

This intra-Schengen lounge in Terminal A (T) sits close to the central security exit, so it’s the first VIP option you see after checks. Access runs on pay-at-door, airline invitations, and common lounge programs, so you’ll see a mix of status holders and package-holiday passengers funneled into the same small footprint.

Reviewers on FlyerTalk call it “very small” and mention chairs pushed so close together that you’re basically shoulder-to-shoulder during the 08:00–11:00 and early evening waves. One Head for Points user summed it up as “wasn’t great but certainly not the worst,” which tells you what to expect: serviceable, not a destination lounge.

Food is the usual Spanish airport spread: think basic pastries at breakfast, a couple of cold snacks, and light bites rather than full meals during the day. Don’t bank on hot dishes beyond the occasional soup or simple item, and assume you’ll still want a real meal in the main terminal if you have a long layover of 2–3 hours.

Drinks lean on self-serve fridges with soft drinks, water, and a few beers and wines, plus a coffee machine that keeps up most of the day. Spirits, if stocked, are basic brands, so this isn’t the place to chase a special gin at 10:30 before a Palma–Frankfurt hop.

Power outlets exist but not at every seat; figure one socket strip for every 4–6 chairs in some rows. Wi‑Fi runs off the airport network, so speeds mirror the public PMI signal and can bog down around the mid-morning departures bank, especially when several flights to Germany and the UK leave within 45 minutes.

The main trade-off: you’re sacrificing personal space for slightly quieter acoustics than the T-A gate area and free snacks. Several frequent flyers flat out say they prefer the public seating when the lounge looks more than half full, especially for short waits under 45 minutes.

Practical tip: if you walk past and see more than two or three people queued at the reception desk, keep going to the regular gates in Terminal A and save your access for a quieter day or another airport.
