Hudson News Concourse D

Gate-side grab at Concourse D

Two minutes from most D-gates, Hudson News Concourse D is the quick stop when you realize you forgot something basic. It sits post-security in the Main terminal’s D concourse, so you’re not doubling back from other concourses just for gum and a magazine.

Think essentials: bottled water, canned drinks, chips, candy bars, and single-serve nuts, usually in the $3–$6 range. Coffee is standard drip and packaged, not a full barista setup, so treat it as a backup caffeine plan, not your main morning stop.

Print is still decent here: national newspapers, at least a dozen mainstream magazines, and a rotating rack of paperbacks. If you want a souvenir, expect Pittsburgh-branded T‑shirts, caps, and keychains under $30, plus the usual travel pillows and eye masks hanging near the front.

Travel gear runs basic: phone chargers, USB-C and Lightning cables, power banks, and wired earbuds, mostly in the $15–$40 range. It’s the spot to fix a forgotten cable before a 3‑hour flight, but skip anything “premium” and check prices; electronics here trend higher than online by a noticeable margin.

Lines spike at about 6–8 a.m. and again around the 4–6 p.m. bank when multiple departures leave from Concourse D. Figure 5–10 minutes if three or more people are ahead of you. Pay, grab your receipt, and keep it handy; returns on defective chargers are easier with proof of purchase the same day.
