Concourse B Open · 05:00-20:00 (as of March 2020 concessions list; subject to later changes) ★ 3.5 $$$$

Better smoothies than the chains, right in Concourse B

Post-security in Concourse B, Joe & The Juice gives PIT a Scandinavian-style juice and coffee bar that feels different from the usual airport brands. It runs roughly 05:00–20:00 (per a 2020 concessions list), so it covers most departures out of B. Expect a $$ price point and a solid-but-not-amazing 3.5-star reputation online.

Menu focus is espresso drinks plus made-to-order juices and smoothies; one Google reviewer called out a “smoothie and latte” as a “pleasant surprise” before a morning flight. You’ll see the typical Joe & The Juice combinations on the board: vegetable-heavy juices, fruit blends, and protein-style smoothies, along with basic lattes, cappuccinos, and Americanos. If you just need caffeine near your B-gate, this is an alternative to the larger chains in the Main terminal.

Prices run high even by airport standards, which reviewers point out as very on-brand for Joe & The Juice. Expect smoothies to land several dollars above a bottled drink at Hudson right down the concourse, which another reviewer explicitly mentioned as the trade-off. Sandwiches and light food exist, but regulars say they focus on smoothies and coffee rather than treating this like a full meal stop.

Lines move reasonably fast off-peak, but service slows when three or four juice orders stack up; staff has to prep each drink fresh, which adds minutes during a 07:00–09:00 push. Some reviews mention the music being loud for the small footprint, which you’ll notice if you’re trying to take calls at nearby B-gates. If sound is a problem, walk a few gates away after you grab your drink.

Tip: If Starbucks in the Main terminal is slammed, walk to Concourse B and hit Joe & The Juice instead; you’ll usually get a latte and smoothie here faster than waiting in that main-line queue.
