Gold Key Lot

On-site premium parking

Old expense forms still say “Gold Key Lot”; the website doesn’t.

Gold Key Lot shows up in corporate policies and university travel pages from Pittsburgh, but current PIT parking maps push PIT Executive Parking and the Terminal Garage as the closest premium options to the Main terminal. Travelers on FlyerTalk mention paying monthly for Gold Key back in the pre‑rebuild era, then switching to Executive once the new setup opened. If your company form still says “Gold Key,” that label is basically legacy at this point.

PIT’s own parking page lists prices and booking for Reserved / PIT Executive and the Terminal Garage, with no live rate table or booking button for anything called Gold Key. Reddit users replying to Gold Key questions say they haven’t seen it offered publicly “in years,” and that attempts to book it online just route into the standard reserved products. That lines up with airport language that treats Executive and the Garage as the top‑tier walkable parking now.

University of Pittsburgh travel guidance still calls out “Gold Key Lot” as reimbursable, then links staff to the general PIT parking portal where only Executive, Garage, and Economy options appear. Comment threads on those pages mention people spending 10–15 minutes hunting for a Gold Key option that never shows up, then giving up and selecting Executive in the reservation system but Gold Key on the expense line. That mismatch is the main complaint you see today.

Regulars who used to park in Gold Key say they now reserve PIT Executive to get the same walk‑in feel to the Main terminal doors, and fall back to the Terminal Garage if Executive is sold out for Monday 6 a.m. flights. Locals on r/pittsburgh tell coworkers to “treat Gold Key as Executive or Garage” when submitting receipts. Practical move: if a form forces you to pick Gold Key, book PIT Executive or Garage, keep the email showing the daily rate, and attach that with a quick note explaining that Gold Key is no longer separately bookable.
