Local cans by Gate 7-11 beat the generic newsstands

Liquid Provisions sits airside in PIE’s Main Terminal near Gates 7-11 and functions as the airport liquor store more than a bar. Shelves lean heavily toward Florida and Gulf Coast labels instead of the usual anonymous duty-free brands. You’ll see local craft beers in cans, regional wines, and a small spread of spirits aimed at carry-on shoppers, not checked-bag bulk buyers.

Hours track flight banks, roughly first departures through the last evening push, so expect it open from around 5 a.m. into the late evening on busy days. Pricing on wine and liquor runs solidly “airport high” compared with nearby St. Pete supermarkets and off-airport liquor stores, so don’t come here hunting for deals. Figure you’re paying for airside access after TSA rather than value.

The sweet spot here: local craft beer in cans, including a few Florida labels you won’t see at the other Main Terminal shops near Gate 7. Regulars on Google say they grab two or three cans as gifts or hotel-room drinks and skip the spirits entirely. One reviewer mentioned picking up a couple cans plus a bottle of wine for a host gift before a PIE departure.

Watch out for: spirits and mid-range wine that cost noticeably more than off-airport. If you want something special, choose a couple of local cans, keep the receipt handy for TSA questions, and buy anything heavy or pricey in town before heading to PIE.
