USO Lounge

PIE has zero confirmed lounges, including any USO space

St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport (PIE) lists one Main terminal and multiple independent guides now state it has no lounges of any kind, paid or otherwise. That absence would include a USO Lounge, despite some older references that suggest one might exist for military travelers.

Access notes still mention “USO Lounge, military, landside,” but recent checks in 2024 across at least two airport guide sites report no active lounge facilities in the Main terminal. Nothing shows up on current terminal maps, nothing on the airport’s public amenities list, and there are no fresh photos or reviews from service members using a USO here.

For timing, PIE advises standard arrival of about 2 hours before departure for domestic flights, and that whole window plays out in public seating areas or gate seating instead of any lounge. With only the single Main terminal, there is no separate pier or satellite where a hidden USO could sit unlisted.

Online lounge aggregators that normally flag USO locations at airports of this size show zero PIE entries. That lines up with traveler-focused sites like SleepingInAirports, which in a 2023–2024 update explicitly note that PIE offers “no lounges,” rather than listing anything as temporarily closed or under renovation.

Watch out for: older articles and scraped databases that still repeat “USO Lounge – landside – military access” as if it were current. None of them provide a room number, floor, nearby gate, or a confirmed opening time like 08:00–17:00, the kind of basic data you see for functioning USO locations at other airports.

One practical tip: if you are active duty, Guard, Reserve, retiree, or a dependent flying through PIE, plan as if there is no USO here and arrange your downtime elsewhere, either before heading to the airport or at a confirmed USO in your origin or connection city.
