Gate-side books in Terminal 3

Ironwood by Hudson sits post-security in PHX Terminal 3, handy if you’re killing 20–30 minutes before a Delta or JetBlue flight and want something better than your phone scroll. It’s a straight-up book-focused Hudson concept, not just gum-and-gadgets with a token shelf. Think new releases, a wall of paperbacks, and some Arizona-themed titles mixed in.

You’ll see hardcovers running around $25–$35 and trade paperbacks closer to $18–$22, similar to downtown bookstore pricing, not highway-robbery gift shop levels. There’s the usual Hudson lineup of snacks and bottled drinks, so you can grab a $3–$4 bottled water with that thriller or crossword book and avoid a second stop.

Hours track Terminal 3’s main bank: generally first departures to last flights, roughly 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., but expect shorter hours on late-night banks and some holidays. If you land after 10:00 p.m. in T3, assume the gateside Ironwood by Hudson is closed and hit another Hudson in the concourse if you see lights on.

Selection leans current bestsellers, airport-friendly mysteries, and a few kids’ titles, so don’t count on niche academic stuff or ultra-obscure sci-fi. If you’re picky about authors, walk in with two or three backup options in mind instead of hunting for one specific book that may not be on the shelf.

Tip: Shop here after you clear the Terminal 3 checkpoint; grabbing a book at Ironwood by Hudson means you won’t have to juggle an extra bag through PHX security or the Sky Train over from Terminal 4.
