$10/day on-airport parking, 0.4 miles from PHX
West Economy Park & Walk is PHX’s budget hack: $10 per day, on airport property, roughly 0.4 miles from the terminals. It opened years ago as the deeply discounted alternative to the main garages and still undercuts the terminal rates by a big margin if you’re leaving the car for several days.
Figure a 10–15 minute walk to Terminal 3 or 4, depending on your pace and bags. There is no shuttle service by design; FlyerTalk users flagged this when the old West Economy lot was converted to Park & Walk and the buses were pulled. If you’re used to traditional economy lots with constant shuttles, reset expectations here.
This is long-stay parking, not a quick 2-hour stop: at $10 per 24 hours, it starts to make sense around day 2 compared with $16–$30 terminal options. Pay with a card at the exit gate. The walk routes you along marked pedestrian paths toward the west side of the airport, where you can then follow overhead signs into Terminal 3 or 4 check-in areas.
Regulars use West Economy Park & Walk when flying out of the former Terminal 2 side (now feeding into Terminal 3) and build in that 15-minute walk instead of waiting on any bus that will never show. They park toward the terminal-facing side of the lot to shave a couple of minutes off the hike with rollaboards or kids in tow.
Watch out for midsummer heat: afternoon temps over 100°F plus a 0.4-mile walk with luggage can feel rough, and there’s limited shade between the lot and the terminal doors. One practical tip: throw water in your bag, park as close as you can to the pedestrian exit, and screenshot the walking path map from the PHX site before you lock the car.
