BA flyers used to trek to the far end of T4B

Back when it was open, The Club at PHX sat at the end of Terminal 4’s B concourse near gates B15–B28 and acted as the contract lounge for British Airways. It was a common-use space, not a oneworld-branded lounge, and BA passengers on FlyerTalk were very clear about that distinction. Access also ran through Priority Pass, which pulled in a mix of BA long-haul and credit-card lounge users in one small room.

The Club at PHX is now permanently closed, even though older Priority Pass lists and a few blogs still show it in Terminal 4. The Admirals Club master thread spells it out exactly as “The Club at PHX (BA Contract Lounge) – CLOSED,” and that’s the status to trust. If an app still lists it as open near the B gates, treat that as outdated data, not a last-minute option.

When it operated, entry came via Priority Pass membership or BA’s contracted access rules for premium-cabin passengers and status holders on flights like PHX–LHR. Reviews mention it as the default BA option for Terminal 4, with no access from Terminal 3 and no airside transfer between T3 and T4 without re-clearing security. Now, BA passengers in T4 have to look at carrier-specific clubs or sit in the main B concourse seating near gates such as B22 and B24.

FlyerTalk BA regulars complain that with The Club closed, their choices at PHX dropped to other airlines’ lounges that may not grant access, or just using standard gate areas for a 9–10 hour transatlantic flight. Threads from 2023 onward talk about needing to budget extra time to eat in the main Terminal 4 food court before heading down the long B concourse walk toward gates B15–B28. The lack of a contract lounge hits hardest on evening departures, when BA usually runs its westbound returns.

Practical tip: flying BA out of Terminal 4 today, plan as if there is no lounge option. Eat and charge devices before walking to the B15–B28 gate cluster, and ignore any app that still lists The Club at PHX as active.
