Gate-side shades in Terminal D

Sunglass Hut sits in Terminal D at PHL, handy if your flight leaves from the D10–D16 side of the concourse and you realize your sunglasses are in a checked bag. It’s airside, so you’re fine browsing after clearing security. Figure 5–10 minutes to walk here from most D gates.

Expect standard Sunglass Hut pricing: mid-range fashion brands starting around $80–$100 and premium names (Ray-Ban, Oakley, Prada, etc.) running into the $200–$300 bracket. This isn’t an outlet, so don’t plan on deep discounts, but you can sometimes catch basic Ray-Ban styles for under $200.

The shop carries polarized and non‑polarized lenses, with sport frames from Oakley and more classic metal frames from Ray-Ban on the same wall. If you’re heading for a window seat on a late‑afternoon flight toward the west, polarized lenses actually help with glare above the clouds. Ask them to check fit around the ears before you tap your card; you don’t get much time to return things once you’ve left PHL.

Figure on a 10–15 minute stop if you want to try on five or six pairs and still make a D‑terminal boarding group call. If your flight leaves from B or C, add another 10 minutes of walking time each way; Sunglass Hut in D only makes sense if you’re already passing through. Quick tip: snap a photo of the receipt and box label before you board, in case you need warranty help later.
