Pei Wei

Terminal B Pei Wei is your quick Asian option at PHL

In Terminal B, Pei Wei sits on the main concourse and runs standard airport hours, roughly early morning through the last departures of the night. It’s counter-service, post-security, so you can order, grab a buzzer, and still keep an eye on B-gates for boarding calls. Seating is shared with nearby spots, so expect basic food-court tables rather than a full restaurant layout.

Most mains land in the $12–$17 range, which is typical for PHL’s central terminals B and C. Expect rice and noodle bowls with proteins like chicken, steak, shrimp, or tofu, plus egg rolls and dumplings in the $5–$8 snack zone. Portions run larger than a grab-and-go salad from a nearby cooler, so one entrée usually covers a full meal before a transcon or longer domestic leg.

The menu leans heavily on familiar Americanized Asian standards: orange chicken, honey-seared chicken, and beef with broccoli show up on the boards, along with fried rice and lo mein. If you want something lighter than the deep-fried options, go with steamed rice and veggies with grilled chicken instead of breaded. Spice levels tend to skew mild, so if you like heat, ask for extra chili oil or packets when you pick up your order.

Food is cooked to order on woks behind the counter, so you’re usually looking at a 10–15 minute wait during normal traffic and closer to 20 minutes during heavy afternoon bank times around the 3–6 p.m. rush. That’s still faster than sitting down in some of the full-service spots in B or C, but slower than grabbing a pre-made sandwich from the cooler across the hall.

Tip: if your flight leaves from a late B-gate like B15–B16, place your order here, then walk down to the quieter seating near those gates; it’s less congested than the central node around security and still just a 3–5 minute walk back to Pei Wei if you’re waiting on your buzzer.
