Bar Perpignan

Inside T1, Bar Perpignan is the airport’s main food stop

You’ll find Bar Perpignan airside in Terminal T1 after security, near the small departures area for Schengen flights. It’s a basic counter-service bar more than a sit-down restaurant, but if you want something before your flight from Perpignan-Rivesaltes, this is one of the only options inside the secure zone.

Opening hours tend to track the flight schedule, so expect it to be open for the morning wave around 06:00–06:30 and again in the late afternoon when Ryanair and Air France departures bunch up. On very quiet days with just one midday rotation, the bar may only open 1–2 hours before the first departure, so don’t count on breakfast here if you’re on an ultra-early check-in.

Food is standard French snack-bar fare: pre-made sandwiches around €5–€7, pastries in the €2–€3 range, and packet snacks. Drinks lean heavily on coffee and soft drinks, with draft or bottled beer and basic wine usually under €5 a glass. Think quick bite and drink in 10–15 minutes, not a full three-course sit-down meal.

Quality is hit-or-miss but generally passable given the airport’s size. Freshness can depend on how many flights are going out that day; during a busy July or August Saturday the stock moves fast, while on a slow weekday afternoon you might find the last croissant from the morning. If you care, check how long the sandwiches have been in the case before paying.

Service is straightforward and functional, with one or two staff handling both the espresso machine and the register. Lines can form 30–40 minutes before departure when a full A320 is in the gate area, and the small seating zone fills quickly. Plan on standing at the bar if you show up inside that window.

Practical tip: if you want a real meal over a €6 sandwich, eat in town before heading to PGF and treat Bar Perpignan as backup coffee and snack only.
