€20 a day gets you in the Short Stay lot right by T1

Short Stay Parking at Perpignan-Rivesaltes sits next to the T1 terminal, about a 5-minute walk from the doors. This is the main external car park, just used on a short-stay tariff. You’re paying for the ability to park, walk your passenger inside, and not stress about the clock in the free drop-off lane.

Pricing is simple: around €20.00 per day, capped at about €100.00 for a full week in the short-stay zone. That’s steep if you only need 10 minutes, but reasonable if you’re staying for several hours around a PGF departure or arrival. Anything approaching overnight or multi-day starts to look like long-stay territory instead.

The airport is very small, and cars park directly in front of T1, so the walk from your bay to the terminal doors is roughly 3–5 minutes even from the back of the Short Stay Parking. There’s no shuttle, no levels, no ticket labyrinth. You just pull in, park, lock, and wheel a bag across the forecourt.

Locals on Perpignan forums say they only use Short Stay Parking when they need to leave the car for a couple of hours, like accompanying elderly relatives through check-in or waiting out a delayed arrival. For quick drop-offs and pick-ups of under 10–15 minutes, they stick to the free kerbside lane instead of paying the €20.00 daily short-stay rate.

Tip: If your plan is under an hour at PGF, start with the free drop-off zone; switch to Short Stay Parking only if the visit stretches and you actually need those extra minutes next to T1.
