Prices stay under ¥40 at this T2 McDonald's
This McDonald's sits airside in Terminal T2, so you’re fine once you clear security and don’t need to gamble on landside food. It’s one of the few international chains in this terminal, and the menu sticks mostly to China standards: chicken burgers, Big Macs, Filet-O-Fish, fries, and McWings. Expect a basic combo (burger, fries, drink) to run roughly ¥30–¥40, so it’s cheaper than most sit-down spots in PEK.
The counter runs long hours in T2, generally from early-morning departures into late-night flights, tracking the domestic and regional bank. Breakfast shows up with McMuffins and coffee; after about 10:30, it flips to the regular menu. If you need something fast before a morning CZ or MU flight out of T2, this is usually the most predictable option.
Ordering is straightforward: the overhead boards list combos with numbers, and the staff in T2 handle a constant stream of passengers who don’t speak Mandarin. Point at the pictured set meal or read the number; card and mobile payments (including UnionPay and WeChat Pay) are common, but keep around ¥50 in cash just in case your foreign card fails.
Seating around this McDonald’s in T2 fills up fast during the 8:00–10:00 and 18:00–21:00 departure waves. Turnover is quick, though, and many people just grab takeout and eat at their gate. Fries and nuggets travel better to the seating near your exact gate than a stacked burger that can get soggy walking across T2.
One practical tip: lines spike to 15–20 minutes when several CZ and Hainan flights board at once, so hit McDonald’s right after you clear T2 security instead of waiting until boarding starts at your gate.
