Blue Star Donuts

Gate-side Blue Star Donuts in T serves brioche rings all day

Blue Star Donuts sits post-security in PDX Terminal T, an easy grab on your way to most domestic gates. It runs typical airport daytime hours, roughly early morning through late afternoon, so don’t bank on a late-night sugar fix. This is the same Portland brand you see in the city, just with a shorter menu and airport pricing.

Most donuts land in the $4–$6 range, with the signature brioche-style rings and filled options costing more than basic cake. Flavors rotate, but you’ll usually see hits like Blueberry Bourbon Basil and Cacao Nib or a straightforward glazed. Portions are big, so one donut plus coffee (around $3–$5) is plenty for a light meal before a short-haul flight.

Lines spike between 6:30–9:00 a.m. when the PDX morning bank pushes through Terminal T, then drop off fast. Selection is best before 10:30 a.m.; by early afternoon some flavors are gone and you may be choosing between whatever’s left in a half-empty case. This isn’t a made-to-order spot, so once a tray is sold out, that’s it for the day.

Plan on 5–10 minutes from most central T gates to swing by, pay, and walk back, assuming you’re not hitting peak morning rush. If you care about flavor variety, stop here before heading to your gate. If you’re tight on time, check the case from a distance; if it looks sparse, skip the detour and grab something closer to your boarding area.
