Pete's Coffee

★ 5

When Stumptown’s line hits 20 deep, this is the fallback

This Peet’s Coffee sits airside in PDX’s Terminal T, and functions as the backup plan when the local spots clog up before those 7:00 a.m. departures. Expect the standard Peet’s menu: drip coffee, espresso drinks, and cold brew, with most drinks landing in the $4–$7 range depending on size and custom shots.

Hours generally run from early-morning bank (around 5:00 a.m.) through the late-evening departures near 10:00 p.m., though exact closing can shift with the schedule. It’s a simple counter setup: order at the register, wait to the side, and they call your name. Seating is limited, so assume grab-and-go back to your gate in Terminal T.

Coffee quality tracks closely with downtown Peet’s locations: medium-to-dark roasts, strong drip, and reliable espresso. If you just need caffeine before a 6:30 a.m. Alaska or Delta flight, a large drip or an americano is the fastest move and usually runs under $5. Syrup-heavy lattes and blended drinks slow the line, especially when they only have 2–3 baristas on the bar during peak banks.

Food is standard corporate pastry case: muffins, croissants, and breakfast sandwiches priced roughly $4–$8. Nothing here competes with PDX’s better local bakeries, but the refrigerated breakfast sandwiches reheat quickly and beat boarding hungry on a four-hour leg. Skip anything that looks like it has been sitting under plastic since the previous night; freshness swings a lot after 3:00 p.m.

Tip: if Stumptown or other local coffee bars in Terminal T look like a 15–20 minute wait and your boarding pass shows “Group 1” or earlier, head straight to Peet’s, order a large drip or americano, and you’ll usually be walking back to your gate in under 5 minutes with caffeine in hand.
