Henry's Tavern

★ 5

That old Pearl District Henry’s vibe now lives in PDX T

Henry's Tavern in Terminal T keeps the spirit of the old Pearl District beer bar alive for airport traffic. It sits past security on the concourse side, so you’re safe to order a pint without clock-watching at the TSA line. Expect pub food, plenty of taps, and a crowd that skews local on Alaska and Delta departures out of PDX.

Beer remains the headline: draft lists usually lean heavily on Oregon names, with several IPAs and seasonal rotators on at any given time. Prices track standard airport markups, so figure a couple dollars above downtown Portland for a pint. If you care about what’s on tap, ask for the printed list rather than reading the board from a distance near the host stand.

Food runs classic bar fare: burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers that work as a full meal during a layover. Portions land on the larger side, so one entrée can often carry two people who already ate something in the city. Expect the check for a burger and a beer to land in the $25–$30 range before tip, which matches most sit-down spots at PDX T.

Service speed lines up with normal airport timing: about 10–15 minutes for a beer and 20–25 minutes for mains when the gates near Henry’s are busy before evening banks. Build in at least 45 minutes door-to-door from “table sat” to “paid and walking” if your flight boards in the high C or D gates. Staff are used to tight connections, so tell them your boarding time up front.

PDX still leans into local brands, and Henry’s Tavern fits that mold as a nod to downtown’s former Pearl District fixture. If you want a last Oregon IPA before a red-eye, skip the generic bar near your gate and aim here first, then walk to boarding with your to-go water in hand.
