PDX is one of the rare airports where motorcycle parking is actually free, on airport, and about a 2-minute walk from the T terminal doors. The spots sit inside the short-term parking garage, so you’re not off in some remote employee lot or gravel corner.
The official setup: designated motorcycle parking on Level 1 of the short-term garage, near the Transportation Plaza. You ride up the short-term ramp, follow signs toward the Transportation Plaza, and head to the marked motorcycle section instead of pulling a ticket at a car gate.
Pricing is simple: motorcycles pay $0 per day, even if cars around you are getting hit with the standard short-term garage rate. Regulars on Reddit say they “always ride to PDX if the weather’s decent” because the free moto parking in the garage is such a good deal.
Walk time is roughly 2 minutes from the motorcycle section on Level 1 to the T terminal entrance doors. You’re closer than most economy parkers and even some rental car returns, which makes quick weekend trips or same-day turns easy on a bike.
There is one big rule: if your trip runs longer than 7 days, you’re supposed to arrange it with the parking office or you risk towing. Frequent riders mention they always call or stop by the office when they’re leaving a bike for more than a week.
Watch out for summer crowds. One rider noted the motorcycle spaces can fill during peak summer weekends, so they sometimes park at the end of a row, taking care not to block car traffic or any marked emergency lanes.
