Economy Parking Lot Blue

On-site shuttle

Daily $12 rate matches Red Economy, just on the other side

Economy Parking Lot Blue at PDX runs the same $12 per day as Red and uses the same shuttle loop to Terminal T, but it sits on the opposite side of the airport road system. Locals on r/Portland say they treat Red and Blue as interchangeable and just follow whichever entrance queue looks shorter when they turn off Airport Way.

The shuttle from Blue to the terminal runs about 5 minutes in light traffic, with some riders timing it at 5–7 minutes if the bus also stops in Red on the way in. Buses run in a loop serving both Economy lots, so from Terminal T you simply board any bus marked Economy and listen for the driver calling out Red or Blue as the first stop.

Accessible parking in Blue sits right next to the bus shelters, mirroring the setup in the Red Economy lot and matching what the airport maps show. If you have mobility needs, aim for a row close to the shelter so the walk is 1–2 minutes at most, then use the low-floor shuttle to ride straight to the terminal doors.

Watch out for peak times: if Blue ends up as the second stop on a full loop, the bus can roll in with nearly every seat taken, which gets old fast when you’re holding ski bags or two 50 lb checked suitcases. If you see a packed bus pull up at the terminal, you can often wait 5 more minutes for the next one and get a better shot at a seat.

Regulars try to snag spots near the shelter that lines up closest to the lot exit back toward Airport Way, shaving a couple of minutes off the drive once they return. One simple tip: on arrival, drop a pin in your maps app with "Blue Economy" plus the row number so you’re not circling for 10 minutes at midnight.
