$8 a day keeps you on-airport at PBI

Economy Parking at Palm Beach International runs at a hard cap of $8 per day, making it the cheapest on-airport option for long trips where price matters more than being next to the Main terminal doors.

The lot sits in a remote zone, but it’s still only about a 5-minute walk to the Main terminal if you’re rolling a light bag and the weather cooperates.

Most people skip the walk and take the shuttle, which loops the Economy lot and the Main terminal in about 5 minutes, typically every 10–15 minutes during normal hours, seven days a week.

Rates are simple: $2 per 20 minutes up to the $8 daily maximum, so short stays under 24 hours rarely creep above the cost of a rideshare from nearby West Palm Beach suburbs.

Shuttle coverage runs 24 hours Sunday through Thursday, but on Fridays there’s a blackout from 1 a.m. to 3 a.m. and on Saturdays from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m., which is where red-eye and first-wave flyers get burned.

During those blackout windows the airport tells you to call 561-471-7459 for assistance from the Economy lot, and reviews say that can mean a longer wait compared with the usual hop-on shuttle loop.

Payment is mixed: the Economy lot accepts cash only when a cashier is present, while the exit gates fall back to credit cards and SunPass during unattended hours.

Regulars with early Friday or Saturday flights either shift to another PBI lot or intentionally park outside the 1–3/4 a.m. gap so they can count on standard shuttle coverage.

Locals who park often register their SunPass and let it auto-charge at the Economy exit, skipping paper tickets and speeding their way out after a late return flight.
